The Maq Hotel - Tofino

Charming decor, great walking distance to shops.

Good modern units with great views, the bar, as for instance, affable employees. Incredible setting, really close to the center of Tofino, the waterfront, and park.

The units are brand-new, great modern with chilled champagne, fridge, for example. The location is stunning and incredible, 1 km from Clayoquot Sound Cinema. Well priced place for holiday, I can recommend.

The rooms lack coffee-making amenities. The absence of a fridge in the room can be a hassle. You're left with a cooler and ice from the liquor store around the block. The shower has its quirks, feeling a bit cramped, while the WiFi tends to play hide and seek around peak hours. The beds are softer than a Wookiee's embrace, and you might have some street noise if your room's facing the road. It feels a bit overpriced for what you get.

Loved to be here, the hotel was clean and quaint, the location was easy in pub. I asked for queen room with free ice, the bar, for example and they kindly provided it. Location: the property was close to great restaurants, the beautiful bay, the ocean.

It was really close to everywhere we needed to go. The staff had our room ready for early check in.

The price was outrageous and offensive. It was a budget room with no soundproofing and basic amenities. There was a man passed out on the steps when we came back in the evening and people knocked at our door and spent time socializing in the hallway at 11 pm. Paying $130 plus taxes for something this basic, even in Tofino, is ridiculous.

The room has an very nice view, but the noise from the pub below made it hard to sleep. Great happy hour events downstairs.

The staff were very helpful and made our visit very enjoyable. We loved the fact that we were right downtown and could walk everywhere. We were traveling by motorbikes and the staff helped us with making sure our bikes were safely parked and allowed us to leave some luggage in the hotel while we were on a aquatic adventure even though we were checked out.

Thought that the rooms were lacking in comfort for the cost. No a/c or screens on the windows.

The location was peaceful and easy, for example, Tonquin Park was not too far from the hotel. The staff was efficient, accommodating with every request.

bed's have been very good, cleanliness OK

no air-condition, no hair-dryer, only half of the light bulbs in the room functional, light bulb in shower/closet not functional, reception closed from 9pm to 9am so no chance to communicate this, outside appearance of hotel is poor, price too high for this situation

The price charged was the confirmed in this web site plus taxes (12%). It was a surprise for me. If I canceled my reservation they will charge me the all amount.

Great spot for families!

We had such a good time! The room was spacious with a fab sea view, perfect for our little one to nap. The staff was super helpful and moved us to a quieter room when we requested it. The restaurant was a hit-really loved the vibe there. Kinda wished we had a fridge, though.

We liked rooms with a beautiful view of the water.
